Pembrey is a small village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK. Winters are not very cold, but usually wet, and because Pembrey is on the southern coast of Wales, plants are exposed to westerly winds which are often salt-laden.
We have a range of habitats here including dunes, coniferous and decidous woodland, but most of the land surrounding Pembrey is agricultural pasture-land grazed mainly by dairy cows.
Wild plants currently in flower include gorse, a few campions.
